Khushali Swachhata is a school & community led total sanitation program. Awareness activities include sensitizing the entire community on behavior change, cleanliness of the surroundings along with good personal hygiene. This is in conjunction with regular advocacy with PRI members to continue the conversation regarding sanitation practices. DCM Shriram Foundation also ensures the maintenance and upkeep of selected toilet blocks that were constructed in previous years.
The program has launched a solid waste management initiative in four cities of Hardoi district. Aligned with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission - Urban (SBM-U), this program raises awareness about waste segregation and builds the capacity of waste handlers, specifically the NPP (Nagar Palika Parishad) Sanitation workers. By demonstrating decentralized solid waste management practices, the program aims to treat and dispose of collected waste effectively, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.
